dedicated to my beloved sec 2 sqd=) dear sec 2s,firstly, i want to thank pei wen and chiou yih for sending me dat email and trying to cheer me up. It really made me feel alot better and also helped me gain back my confidence. dunno how to say but still have to say out wad i really feel these few days. tues when chiou yih told me dat ur sqdmates are slping and after i looked at ur attendace, i was very shocked coz only 21 of u turned up for the rehearsal. I noe dat some of u have reasons, as for the others who didnt turn up and did not have any reasons, i can only say dat u all need to reflect on urself and think back wad i told u all the first few acts about the importance of attendance. I believe sgt eric had told u all about the importance of attendance to the whole unit. Though it is only a small part of ur unit's UOPA, but if we cant even manage our unit's attendace well den wad rights do we have to think of getting back our gold unit. I really hope u all can understand why i am so angry dat day and why i pump u guys dat day. I do not pump just because i am angry but is because u all keep fidgeting when i told u alot of time dat u all shld not do it. If its an official act i wld have pumped u all 20 but it is an unofficial act so i only gave u all 5. 20 for fidgeting is considered very little le. Like wad sgt eric told u all, we do not believe in pumping, i oso have the same belief, but many a times we had to pump in order to let u all understand the importance and to let u all learn from ur punishments and mistakes so dat u all wun commit it again in the future, but it looks like u all are used to pumping liao, everytime pump u all oso no use coz after a while u all will fidget again. sec 2s, this is sth i really dun wish to see from a rvnp cadet, esp from my sqd. i admit dat my expectations for this sqd is very high and i am very strict wif u all most of the time. i dun mind u all hate me but wad i mind most is dat u all will improve as a sqd under me and ur 2 other ics.Now dat rvnp has dropped from a gold to a silver, we had to be stricter with the whole unit, including ourselves as NCOs. alot of cadet always think dat being an nco is so easy and fun, dats wad i think too, but look at us, look at our seniors who were once NCOs,even the CIs, it is really really not easy being an NCO, really not easy. i used to think being an nco is so fun but i'm wrong ever since i am appointed as ur sqd's ic..many challenges had to be faced and it is not easy and fun like wad i thought it is. to be honest, our sqd likes the second batch of ics the most and we respect them the most, though they are strict at times but we noe very clearly why they were strict to us and dats why we are willing to be pumped because of our mistakes. dat batch of ics really bonded our whole sqd tgt and from dat moment onwards, we learnt to laugh and play as a sqd as well as suffer tgt as a sqd. they also made me love and treasure my sqdmates alot. every batch of NCOs has their strengths and weaknesses, like wad eric told u all, pick up and learn from their strengths while take note of their weaknesses and tell urself not to learn from it. dats wad i always tell myself when i was a cadet and even now when i am ur ic. i picked up the strengths of different NCO sqd and learn from it, i done all this just for one simple reason, i want my sqd to be an outstanding sqd by time i ROD. just to let u all noe, i nvr give up on u guys for a single moment and i nvr will give up on u. I truly believe dat u all can be an outstanding sqd. I noe u all need time to change, i will give u all time to change but not too long kae? coz i will leave u all very soon le.though some of u all keep telling me dat it is not my fault dat u all are so bad but look, i am ur sqd ic and i am given the responsibility of improving ur sqd and providing u with all the knowledge so as to let u all do well in everything,esp ur promo, since the performance of ur sqd is bad den it only imply dat i am not doing my job well enough. If its not my fault den who's fault is it? No matter what, all the unhappy things are over le, let's put them all to a side and start a brand new year with only one aim. To improve and to perform to the best of ur abilities. i will improve on myself so as to be a better sqd ic and most imptly to gain all of ur respect. i promise all of u dat i will not give up on u all no matter what. If an ic gives up on his own sqd den who is going to take the sqd ritex? I have faith in all of u, so u guys dun disappoint me, can? Do everything to the best of ur ability and prove to all the NCOs and officers dat u all are a batch of good cadets, good RVNP cadets. I wish u guys all the best in ur studies and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
